Bluewater Energy Park is serviced by both CSX
and Canadian National Railway (CNR)
rail. Shunting service can be arranged by either rail service provider. Rail spur lines are conveniently located within the Park. The CNR main line from London and Toronto passes through Sarnia, extending to the St. Clair Tunnel, which passes under the St. Clair River to Port Huron, Michigan. A key component of CN North America's seamless continental transportation strategy, the St. Clair tunnel allows direct rail access from the seaport of Halifax, Nova Scotia, to the American Mid-West.
A secondary rail line operated by CSX Transportation extends from Sarnia southward, linking with both CNR Rail and Canadian Pacific Rail. The Sarnia CSX line is particularly important for its specialized servicing of the industrial chemical plants in around the Bluewater Energy Park and for export traffic to U.S. markets through Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan.
